I took a $600 trip to Iceland for my birthday, and I compiled the best 3 day itinerary including a Glacier hike, the Black Sand Beaches, and Sky Lagoon!
A Perfect 3 Days in Iceland: A Complete Itinerary
Day One: Arrival, Museums, & Northern Lights
Day 2: Glaciers, Beaches, & Waterfalls
✈️ Arrival
Our Icelandic adventure began bright and early. Bundle up, grab your luggage, and prepare to embrace the crisp Icelandic air as you head to the shuttle.
🚌 Shuttle to Reykjavík
From Keflavík International Airport, hop on a convenient "FlyBus" bus to Reykjavík through Reykjavik Excursions. The scenic drive will introduce you to Iceland’s rugged beauty, from volcanic landscapes to endless moss-covered plains.
🍲 Breakfast Stop
After the journey, we fueled up at our hotel's breakfast buffet. They had delicious meats, baked goods, vegetables, and coffee, so you’ll find plenty of options to satisfy your morning cravings. Be aware Icelandic food is EXPENSIVE. It was $30 per person.

Arriving at Solheimajokull Glacier, it’s time to gear up for a thrilling group hike. It was difficult even as someone who works out weekly.
