Affordable Vacation Tips for Las Vegas | Budget Friendly Options
Experience Las Vegas for Less: Top Budget-Friendly Tips
Las Vegas, Nevada, is a dream destination for many, known for its dazzling lights, world-class entertainment, and bustling casinos. However, it can also be a pricey place to visit. If you're looking to experience the most for less, here are some fantastic ways to stretch your dollars while enjoying all that Las Vegas has to offer.
2. MyVegas Rewards: Play for Perks $
If you wanna pay as little as possible and don’t mind putting time in, MyVegas Rewards is perfect for you. By playing free casino games (or keeping the app open😉) on your phone or Facebook, you earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for real-life rewards in Las Vegas. These include free or discounted hotel stays, meals, show tickets, and more. However, to get more rewards it's best to begin getting points as soon as possible, so this isn’t the best solution for last minute experiences.
Highlights:
- Free: No cost to play and earn points.
- Rewards: Redeem points for various Las Vegas experiences.
- Fun: Enjoy the thrill of casino games without spending real money.
3. Groupon: Deals and Discounts $
Before heading to Las Vegas, check out Groupon for deals on everything from restaurants and shows to spas and adventure activities. Groupon often has discounts of up to 50% or more, making it a great way to save on your trip. I’ve seen massages on the south strip and experiences off strip that could be interesting to the right person.
Highlights:
- Variety: Deals on dining, entertainment, and activities.
- Savings: Significant discounts on popular attractions
- Easy: Purchase and use vouchers directly from your phone.
4. Viator: Affordable Tours and Activities $$
Viator offers a wide range of tours and activities in Las Vegas at competitive prices. From helicopter rides over the Strip to guided tours of the Grand Canyon, Viator often has special deals and discounts that can help you save money while enjoying unique experiences. This is a very reputable company which eliminates any risks of going on a tour as opposed to buying a tour off the strip.
Highlights:
- Selection: Extensive list of tours and activities.
- Discounts: Frequent deals and promotions.
- Convenience: Easy booking and mobile tickets.
5. Casino Loyalty Perks: Member Benefits $$$
Joining a casino's loyalty program can unlock a wealth of benefits. Most Las Vegas casinos offer loyalty cards that reward you with points for every dollar you spend on gaming, dining, and entertainment. These points can be redeemed for free play, meals, hotel stays, and exclusive access to events. This is best for my gamblers or foodies that love to stay loyal within a specific casino brand. This also is a long game tip, so it takes at least one visit to sign-up and gamble or spend money at restaurants and bars within the casino line to begin to receive deals and discounts.
Highlights:
- Membership: Often free to join.
- Rewards: Earn points and enjoy member-only perks.
- VIP Treatment: Access to special events and priority services.
Insider Tips for Extra Savings

Las Vegas doesn't have to be an expensive destination. With a little planning and these budget-friendly tips, you can experience the best of Sin City without draining your wallet. Enjoy the bright lights and endless entertainment, all while keeping your budget intact!
1. Go City Pass: Sightseeing Savings $$
The Go City Pass is a fantastic way to see Las Vegas' top attractions because it offers access to a variety of experiences, including the High Roller Observation Wheel, Madame Tussauds, and the Hoover Dam Tour, for one price! ( $100+) This is perfect even if you're staying for 1 day because it allows you to complete as many experiences in 24 hours. Personally, in 2 days I visited the Eiffel Tower, a Virtual Reality game, a 1 hour open bar at Senor Frogs, Madame Tussauds, High Roller Observation Wheel, and the Avengers movie experience. That is a lot to do in 2 days especially when these experiences are $30-$60 EACH! TIP: look into discount sites sponsered from your job or other travel sites for an additional saving.
Highlights:
- Flexible: Choose the pass duration that fits your stay (1, 2, 3, or 5 days).
- Access: Enjoy over 35 attractions and tours.
- Convenience: Use the digital pass on your phone.
